ABBA Tribute Bands!

Morning everyone, I sit here writing to you after 2 very different shows last week. Our first show was performing at the Rebellion Punk Rock Festival at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool and the other was a Private Party in a couple's back garden! This was our third time performing at Rebellion and it didn't disappoint. We arrived with plenty of time so we could have a walk round some of the other stages and check out the other bands. Being an ABBA Tribute you would wonder why on earth we would be performing at such a festival.Punks love a bit of ABBA and the crowd we performed to sure made that clear. We have never heard ABBA songs being sung so loud as they were on Thursday night. Festivals are always a funny one as you turn up do your bit then go home. But on Thursday we got to see a bit more than normal. :-) Saturday night we performed in a couple's back garden. Totally different from Blackpool we set up our own equipment in an open sided marquee and performed on the grass. Grass is not a good thing when wearing platform boots we have found out! Hello my Party People

Well we’ve finally had our first full week off since the start of the year so it’s been nice to relax and unwind out on the archipelago back home. As I sit here in the cabin overlooking the lake, the waters are calm and its a beautiful crisp sunny day so its the perfect time to reflect, why ABBA?

When I think back to the Festfolk days I see the journey is obvious now, we've all been longtime ABBA fans so the next step was forming our own band and lo and behold...ABBA Sensation was born. From the opening bars of Waterloo, the feelgood factor of Dancing Queen or the rousing crescendo of Winner Takes It All, we all love the songs of ABBA and are very lucky to play them to audiences every week.

For ABBA Sensation the journey has only just begun and I can honestly say on behalf of all the band that it’s nothing but good times and great fun! We’re all growing as musicians and performers, performing to fantastic crowds in great venues and meeting people from all walks of life along the way. All of this brought together from the music of ABBA!
